A new report suggests that One Direction’s hiatus, which follows the release of its fifth album in five years, will be a permanent split. A source “close” to the band tells Us Weekly that Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne have no plans to revive 1D following the promotion of Made In The A.M., released in November. “The 1D thing just ran its course,” says the source. “They’ll remain friends, but they are exhausted and want solo careers.” |
One Direction announced that they would be going on an indefinite hiatus following the release of Made In The A.M., the U.K. boy band’s first release without Zayn Malik. However, the members have stated on numerous occasions that 1D would be back together someday.
